Jetstorm is now in Ryslig! This means that he's no longer in his usual body, much to his seething annoyance. Instead, he's in the body of a human female. (Blame his robot mode's hips and waist.) Natalie Dormer is being used as his PB-JetDorm, if you will. He still sounds like himself, as far as accent, cadence, and the like go, just with a female pitch. Jetstorm doing the introduction for the Vehicon generals is here, for those curious about how he sounds normally.

Hop on over to Thrust's journal for Hat's Useful Notes on Beast Machines in all its weird, screwed up, Simon Furman-said-this-was-too-dark-for-kids glory. She did a better write up of points of interest than I could.

CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character Name: Jetstorm
Age: Approximately eight months or so. Canon isn't very clear here.
Canon: Transformers: Beast Machines
Canon Point: In Darkest Knight, just before getting gooped.
Character Information: Jetstorm's TFWiki.net page.

Personality: Jetstorm is an asshole. That's the most concise way to sum him up. He's a loud, talkative, showy asshole with a flair for being dramatic and a deep, deep love of trying blow people he doesn't like up. And Jetstorm basically dislikes everyone he knows (though that group is tiny), save one of 'em. So while Jetstorm sounds exceedingly cheerful much of the time, it's because he's absolutely thrilled to pieces at the prospect of injuring or killing someone. And he's more than happy to let the intended victim know how much he's enjoying the whole thing, usually by taunting, and endless stream of chatter, or just laughing like he's having the time of his life while putting the hurt on. However, this talkativeness is not infrequently his downfall; it's very easy for him to get so wrapped up in being wordy that he's distracted enough to let someone who he's not focused on get the upper hand...or he'll smack into something because he was too busy yapping to dodge.

(Jetstorm has the unfortunate tendency to pancake himself against things when this happens. At this point, he's pretty resigned to it.)

As easy as it can be to get wrapped up in being showy, he's actually fairly good at spotting openings that give him a chance to get ahead. ("Your glorious army will shine less brightly without his guiding... can I have his tank drones?") He'll use this tendency to jockey for position with his peers, to get the upper hand in a fight...or to just enjoy a few moments of smug satisfaction before he decides to try and cause trouble. Jetstorm enjoys causing trouble; he's a warbuild, literally made for fighting, and he's terribly proud of his abilities. If he can work in showing somebody how much more awesome he is, he'll happily run with that. And if someone he doesn't like has a failing, he's more than happy to rub it in their face. Jetstorm loves irony; he just loves it happening to other people.

Jetstorm does have some positive traits amidst the assholerly. They're still covered by a heavy layer of jerk, but they're there. When he's forced into a team effort, he pulls his weight rather well. He was built to act as a single machine with the other Vehicon generals, and even when in the middle of a pissing match with the others to see who'd win a challenge they'd been given, he snapped right back to teamwork when he needed to. (Granted, it was teamwork between himself and Thrust to take down Tankorr, the third general, but it was the teamworky thought that counted.) He's also capable of a surprising amount of loyalty, if someone is a friend. Given that Jetstorm is a Vehicon, his actual friendship is hard to win (most people fall into 'acquaintances', 'moving targets', or 'people who can slag me'), but once someone has got it, it's solid. Jetstorm trusts his friends to not shoot him in the back and do so in kind, and if someone messes with a friend of his, Jetstorm will be sure to get whoever did it back. It's also worth noting that Jetstorm is surprised to be considered a friend by anyone-his reaction when it came up on canon was one of '...what?'-but if he decides the feeling's mutual, he'll roll with it.

Jetstorm also has an inexplicable love of French and Spanish. There's no explanation ever given for this; he just liberally peppers his dialogue with words that definitely aren't Cybertronian. If asked about this, the likely answer would be a shrug-he likes to talk, talking requires words, he's got a right to use every fragging word he knows of if he feels like it, and besides, doesn't his banter sound better that way? (Don't answer that question.) This is also his excuse for his tendency to nickname everyone and everyone-if he has words that fit, why not use them? The fact that any nicknames might get under people's skin is a bonus.

5-10 Key Character Traits:
-Asshole
-Talkative
-Vicious
-Opportunistic
-Showy
-Enjoys schadenfreude

Opt-Outs: Demon, Goblin, Vampire, Shade
